Green smoothie recipes



Green smoothies are an enormous source of fiber. They aid the reduction of excess blood cholesterol. Including a green smoothie in your diet is a refreshing way to stay healthy.

Banana green smoothie


Ingredients:




  • 1 medium-large size banana (ripe and peeled) 









  • 1 cup of baby spinach

  • 2/3 cup of low fat yogurt

  • 1 cup of ice

  • a scoop of protein powder (optional) 








Method:


Combine the ingredients in a blender and mix. starting with low speed for about a minute, and then high speed 2-3 minutes.

Serve.

Avocado green smoothie

Ingredients:


  • 1 Avocado (peeled and chopped pit removed)


  • 1 cup of baby spinach

  • 1 celery stalk

  • 2/3 cup of low fat yogurt

  • 1 cup of ice

  • a scoop of protein powder (optional)









Method:

Combine the ingredients in a blender and mix. starting with low speed for about a minute, and then high speed 2-3 minutes.

Serve.
